Bruce has served as lead trial counsel and tried to verdict federal multi-district litigation, commercial aviation litigation, ERISA litigation, products liability, and other multi-forum litigation. These cases include the trial of a contract termination case resulting in a savings to the client of over $75 million, and the trial of a class-action challenge to a use fee tax resulting in a declaration that the use fee tax was unconstitutional and a $27 million settlement for the class members.

Practice

Bruce's practice areas are concentrated in commerical litigation, partnership and LLC disputes, real estate and zoning litigation, products liability and general litigation.

Education

Bruce graduated magna cum laude in 1977 from the College of Idaho with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, in 1982. He was admitted to the bar in 1982. In 1987, Bruce completed the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, National Session. He co-authored the Idaho Submission "Product Liability Desk Reference, A Fifty-State Compendium" (Little, Brown and Co.).



Professional Standing & Affiliations

Bruce is a member of the State Bar of California, the Idaho State Bar, the American Bar Association (Litigation and Legal Practice Sections), and American Inns of Court, Inn No. 130 (1995-1997). He is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts of the Northern District of California and the District of Idaho, the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth and Tenth Circuits, and all courts of the State of Idaho.
